About
Jean Bai is an architectural and interiors photographer based in San Francisco. Influenced by her training as a photojournalist on her college newspaper, she believes that capturing environments with realism is what makes images most meaningful and timeless.
In her photos, she is drawn to how different qualities of light create atmosphere and breathe life into a space. A formalist at heart, she is strongly influenced by bold compositions and strives to create immaculate and balanced images.
Jean graduated from UCLA with a background in the sciences and arts, and finds a balance of the two in her work. She was the first-place recipient of the 2020 American Photographic Artists Awards for architectural photography and has worked on Apple’s photo team capturing their U.S. retail stores since early 2022.
